HOW IT WORKS
Three steps, one flight, fifty hospital workers

You sponsor one shirt
$100 claims one of the 50 shirts. You can add a short note or a name to dedicate it to.

Kirstin flies it down
Describe a specific quality or trait of your teammate.

A staff member puts it on
She hands them to the doctors, nurses, and staff by name. You get the photos when she lands back home.
One design, Fifty backs
We printed 50 of these, no more. When you sponsor one, this is the shirt that ends up on a real shift in Catacamas.

We bought 50 shirts for $1,200. That is $24 a shirt. The rest of your gift does not sit in an office. It goes straight into patient care.
Where your $100 actually goes
$24
$76
$24 - Printing and production, hand-carried to Honduras at no shipping cost to the organization.
$76 - Medicine, supplies, and equipment at Hospital Santo Hermano Pedro Betancourt, where care is always free.
"When I hand these out, I get to say their name and tell them a stranger in another country paid for this. That lands differently than money in a budget."
- Kirstin Ivy (Healing Hearts Honduras Founder)

Questions People Ask
Do I get a shirt?
No, and that is the point. Your $100 puts the shirt on a doctor, nurse, or staff member in Catacamas. Nothing ships to you. If you want one for yourself, email us and we will let you know if any are available.
Who hands them out?
Kirstin does, in person, on her October trip to Honduras. She knows the staff by name. She takes the photos and sends them back.
Is my gift tax deductible?
Healing Hearts Honduras is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and you receive no goods in return, so the full gift is treated as charitable. [Confirm this wording with your accountant before publishing.]
What happens after all 50 are claimed?
The campaign closes. There is no second batch before the flight. Anything given after that goes into general patient care.
Can I give in someone's name?
Yes. Add the name in the notes field in the Qgiv form and we will dedicate the shirt to them.
